Welcome - glad you are asking! We are the anchor company, or short tac!
Basically tac refers to an idea, a concept for a better form of working together - the company philosophy of tomorrow, focusing on fairness, transparency and ...
The tac institute is the sum of all people working at tac. It is our professional home-base. Here we can anchor our mind and soul. It is the place where our dreams and fears are taken serious. It provides the starting point from where we begin our professional journeys. And it offers a beacon to return to after stormy passages and joyful experiences.
The tac institute provides a human network for recruiting, training and working. It is the campfire we treasure to celebrate good times and heal inevitable wounds, together. Here you can hear and tell about new developments, exciting technologies and customer opportunities. You can be sure to find fresh talent, open minded buddies and seasoned practitioners to share your thoughts.
You also can think of the tac institute as incubator for your professional friendships. Not all friendships will last forever, but they definitely help you day after day. You can turn to your professional friends with your questions, ideas and ambitions. It is an environment where everyone's best talent is enabled to unfold and contribute. Because all things in life are better with the right companions.
In the moment, the tac institute is organized in three clubs: The contact club is for people interested to learn more about tac and its members (by invitation for regular tac events). The associate club is for students working on 3-month internships with 10 hours per week (1000 euro per month). The expert club is for graduates who received their bachelor degree and work for two years before going on with their master (100 k per year).
In the future, the tac institute works as research and development entity for mindogo, enables experiments with special arrangements like work and roll, and ventures into new business opportunities like sustainability consulting and ESG reporting. As a start, tac now is establishing the founders club, consisting of the six people most actively involved in mindogo and tac.
The tac rules are a shared rule set for our professional friendships that everybody can rely on. These rules describe how we work here, what needs NOT to be negotiated every time we start into a new endeavor, and what we can assume to be understood by all people at tac. To be consistently implemented, it is mandatory for these rules to cover all persons in the organization, so all are working in the core business - all other functions are delegated externally. The rules are sorted into the areas of business, support and growth. For each area the rules can be described in terms of relations, tasks and money.
For our business, we maintain the relations to our customers and colleagues. Customers are the people we can provide help for. Colleagues are the people who can help us. In both cases we must earn their trust! The task to establish this trustful relation follows a clear sequence: listen to their needs, think about useful options, and do helpful actions. The rule for money here is: 0% waste. We avoid half-heard-wisdom, know-all-answers, and ego-action-products. We stay away from personal politics, power games and intrigues. Our focus is to keep the backs free of our customers, so they can take care of their environment. And we expect our colleagues to do the same for us. What our rules do not specify or limit is the exact topic of our work. This evolves constantly over time, changing with the needs of our customers and the foresight of our colleagues. The only limit we put on our work are the legal requirements of the countries we work in and the basic worldwide human rights we all want for ourselves. In short: do not do business with criminals or dictators - it would only hurt you.
For our support, we have relations to exactly one person within the tac organization who is responsible for us - and we are free to choose who it is! The only condition is that this person accepts the responsibility for us. This one person is our link to take care of all the formal necessities of our professional life. So choose wisely, switch carefully, and remember we are all human beings. On the flip side, your tasks for people you are responsible for are equally straightforward. You lead your own business unit. You have full control over projects, budgets and assignments. So again, choose wisely. The rule for money here is: 50% plus. You start with our egalitarian salary. Your fix yearly earning is adjusted every year-end so that next year you get 50% of your personal revenues plus 2.5% of revenues of people you are responsible for. This plus-payment comes out of the next 25% of revenues under your responsibility. If there is anything left, you can use it for team events, trainings, bonuses. The remaining 25% are for company operational costs (15%) and earnings (10%).
For our growth, we need a minimum relation of three people to drive along new topics of interest within the organization and beyond. If these activities need financing, you need to find tac sponsors! They can cover spendings from their plus-resources. The core task here is very focused: find one additional person working with tac as customer or colleague each year. The best way to achieve this is by extending your personal network in and around tac while working on promising future topics beyond the current bread-and-butter projects, in close collaboration with other interested enthusiasts, without the need to ask for permission, of course preserving the law and the reputation of tac. There is no inherent limit for scaling this system. The rule for money here is: 100% own. This monetary rule opens the door to your own company in different stages: a virtual firm to cover your leadership role, a real company channeling your plus-payments, up to an external company with your full ownership, working in the tac group with 2.5% revenue share (or outside if you prefer).
These nine rules for relations/tasks/money in the areas of business/support/growth are the foundation for our tac home-base to provide the good professional life we strive for - concentrating our efforts on the important levers of our profession and avoiding the pitfalls of boosted egos, autocratic rule and fierce infighting. You basically choose whom to work with and what to work on and then focus your energy on achieving good results. That leads to recognition, trust, and reputation - therefore providing a good professional life in balance with your human needs.
The tac tools consist of all systems we need to work on. This spans from personal systems used in free-wheeling experiments over company provided systems for common tasks to customer provided systems for customer-specific work. We tend to sponsor personal systems freely within tax limits, be sparingly with company systems and high-security-minded with customer systems.
Our systems can be categorized into separate domains of usage: bread-and-butter projects, future topics, basic essentials. We strive to combine different aspects and functionality of all these domains to come up with commercially successful, future oriented, time-proven solutions, providing business value for our customers and enhanced personal market value for our colleagues.
Our technical goal is sovereign handling of large IT ecosystems. The question is how to work with big platforms - without loosing your soul. Part of the answer is to keep your transformation abilities high to limit lock-in and stay open and competent for other systems. So that you can work together - with big players - and keep your freedom.
The contact club is for people interested to learn more about tac and its members. Feel free to contact us any time - and we will be happy to invite you to join our regular events - for example our tac pots.
The associate club is for students interested in working on 3-month internships with 10 hours per week (1000 euro per month).
The expert club is for graduates who received their bachelor degree and are interested in working for at least two years before pursuing their master degree (100 k per year).
Our technology landscape is currently focused mainly on combining Business Process Management and Artificial Intelligence Solutions on Hyperscaling Cloud Platforms - a typical setup being ServiceNow, ChatGPT and AWS. This setup allows us to experiment with different scenarios to compose well-versed day-to-day systems with upcoming powerful enhancements while using broadly available platforms.
Future areas of engagement will likely encompass process optimization, hr management, sustainability reporting and related topics. We will strive to cover upcoming technologies, growing from the ecosystems around Python/JS/Java towards trending issues like intelligent bots, block chains, virtual reality and whatever comes next in this ever changing world.
